Applications are invited from the Pakistani nationals on prescribed form obtain able from the Institute by sending a pay order/bank draft of Rs. 800/- in favor of Director National Institute of Psychology for the following Vacant posts (BPS Scale)

a.        Ph.D from HEC recognized University/Institution in the relevant field.

b.       Fifteen years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized university or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization with at least eight years Post Ph.D level teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Post graduate Institution or  Professional experience in the relevant field in a national or International Organization OR Ten years Post Ph.D teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Post graduate Institution or  Professional experience in the relevant field in a national or International Organization.

c.        Fifteen research publications (with at least five publications in last five years) in refereed International Journals recognized by the HEC.

a.         Ph.D from HEC recognized University/Institution in the relevant field.

b.      Ten years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization with at least four years Post Ph.D level teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Post graduate Institution or  Professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization OR five years Post Ph.D teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Post graduate Institution or  Professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization .

c.        Ten research publications (with at least four publications in last five years) in refereed International Journals recognized by the HEC.

a.        Ph.D in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution with NO Experience required

b.        Master degree (foreign) or M.Phil (Pakistan) or equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with 4 years teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduation Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in National or International Organization.

a.        Ph.D in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution with NO Experience required

b.         Master degree (foreign) or M.Phil (Pakistan) or equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with 4 years teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduation Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in National or International Organization.

First class master degree in Psychology OR equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd division in the Academic Career from HEC recognized University/Institution
no experience required.

Master degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent qualification with 2 years experience in the relevant field or BCS with Post graduate diploma in Computer Sciences with 10 years experience in the relevant field.

Bachelor Degree in Natural or Social Sciences with Diploma in Library Sciences and two years experience of Library work in a University, Govt. or Semi-Government Library.

Graduate with Post Graduate diploma in Computer Sciences or BCS with two years experience.

i.          For the post of Programmer, Person having experience in web development, data base development, web casting, data analysis using PASW/AMOS at M.Sc/M.Phil/Ph.D Level and handling of computer labs comprising of more than 50 PCs will be preferred.

ii.         For the post of Data Supervisor, candidates having practical knowledge about network troubleshooting, DBMS (MYSQL, MS-Access), Research Data entry and data analysis by using different statistical software (SPSS, AMOS etc) will be preferred.

iii.      Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel.

iv.      The applicants for the post of Research Associates cum Lecturer and for the post of Assistant Professor and Research Fellow cum Assistant Professor who do not possess Ph.D. degree will be required to appear in a written test and in addition they will deliver a lecturer. The candidates for Assistant Professor holding Ph.D. degree will deliver a lecturer only. After short listing the candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Board for final selection.

v.              Applications should reach the Director NIP alongwith a Bank draft of Rs. 800/- or $ 25 in case of applicants applying from abroad (non-refundable) drawn in favour of the Director, NIP latest by the 04.01.2011. Incomplete application or/and those received after specified date will not be entertained. No. TA/DA will be admissible for interview.

vi.            The Institute reserves the right not to fill any post/withhold the appointment against any advertised post or to accept/reject any application without assigning reason.

vii.         The age limit may be relaxed for suitable candidates.

a.             Ph.D from a recognized University/Institution in the relevant field.

b.         Eleven years post Ph.D teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International research organization.

c.             Fifteen research publications (with at least five publications in the last five years), in refereed International Journals (W,X,Y category) recognized by the HEC.

d.          Successfully supervised one Ph.D OR 10 M.Phil theses as supervisor OR have one postdoc experience of six months duration from a foreign University/Institute.

a.             Ph.D from a recognized University/Institution in the relevant field.

b.         Six years post Ph.D teaching/research experience in recognized university or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Research organization.

c.             Ten research publications (with at least four publication in the last five years) in refereed International Journals (W,X,Y category) recognized by the HEC.

d.             Minimum of six months continuous postdoctoral research experience from foreign University/Institute in the relevant field or successful supervision (as supervisor) of one Ph.D. thesis or six M.Phil theses, or three M.Phil plus six M.Sc. theses where M.Sc. thesis is compulsory and carries a minimum of nine credit hours.

a.         Ph.D from a recognized University/Institution in the relevant field.

b.         Excellent written and communication skills to be judged through the Institute Selection process by a written test/seminar.

1.         For Assistant Professor (Note: for Ph.D degree holders from Pakistan the Registrar must certify that the Ph.D thesis was evaluated by two foreign Experts as per HEC guidelines for award of Ph.D degree, in case foreign evaluation was not done then the candidates must provide evidence of two publication in Journals recognized by the HEC).

2.            The applicants should prepare a comprehensive application dossier that may include letters of references from his/her Ph.D supervisor as well as others from eminent researchers in his/her area of specialization and all publications in refereed journals recognized by the HEC. The application dossier may be obtained from the office of the Institute.

3.              The application dossier, in triplicate, and the following attested documents (i) degrees/certificates, (ii) national ID card, (iii) recent photographs, (iv) experience certificates, fully binded alongwith a Bank draft of Rs. 800/- or $ 25 in case of applicants applying from abroad (non-refundable) drawn in favour of the Director, NIP should reach the Director, National Institute of Psychology, Centre of Excellence, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. The last date for receipt of applications is 04.01.2011.

4.               Applicants working in Government or Semi-Government Organization/Autonomous Bodies should apply through proper channel. However, the Centre may entertain advance copies.
