Since its inception, the NIP Alumni Association (AA-NIP) has made great contribution in its mission to enable alumni-to-alumni connections and foster a meaningful, lasting relationship between alumni and the institute/ university. The AA-NIP provided a forum to maintain contacts among alumni all across the country with each other and the institute. In the same lieu, 8th general body meeting and annual gala dinner was held on November 30th, 2018 (Friday) at National Centre for Physics, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.
The organizing team of the event included Ms. Aisha Zubair (Executive Board Coordinator, AA-NIP) and Dr. Nelofer Rauf (Executive Board Member, AA-NIP) as event coordinators, for the registration of the event following members were deputed, that is, Ms. Sara Imtiaz (Executive Board member, AA-NIP), Dr. Irum Naqvi (General Secretary, AA-NIP), and Mr. Tahir Elahi (for Finance/ Administrative Support). A large number of alumni, current students, their families, and faculty of NIP participated in the event.
Formal proceedings of the program commenced with the recitation of Holy Quran and all the guests were welcomed by the alumni executive committee. In this regard, entertainment program was presented by the students of NIP. Major highlights of the program included multiple activities comprising tableau performances, funny skits, parodies of celebrities, and poetry. The audience also enormously enjoyed the instrumental music and songs; while senior alumni shared their throwback and nostalgic memories of NIP.
In this year conference dinner was held in the continuation of 7th International conference of NIP on Positive Psychology, therefore our worthy keynote speakers from Sri-Lanka, England, America, and Switzerland attended the dinner and showed their appreciation and gratitude for being part of the event.

During the program election for the fifth executive board was held and election activity was convened by Dr. Jamil. A. Malik (NIP) and Mr. Muhammad Usman (NIP).
In the end, Prof. Dr. Anila Kamal (Patron in Chief Alumni Executive Board) presented shields to the executive board members and showed gratitude to the guests for their arrival. She welcomed the new board members and shared her joy on seeing alumni as significant part of NIP and their warm hearted involvement in the event. After the program a lavish dinner was served. The dinner was attended by approximately more than 250 guests including Alumni and their families, faculty, and current students.
