Biography

Prof. Dr. Malik joined the National Institute of Psychology, Quaid-i-Azam University, as Assistant Professor in August 2010. He has a PhD in health/medical psychology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands. His research interests include chronic disease management, health and well-being, socialization and social networking, interpersonal relationships, and higher order functioning (neuro-cognitive domains). He has completed two Post-doctorate (1. Funded by higher education commission HEC in 2018, and 2. Fulbright award by United States Education Foundation USEFP in 2023-24) at the University of Miami, Florida. He also presented invited lectures at Utrech University, Netherland, and Michigan State University, Lesnsing. He is providing consultancy to several national and international organizations. He is also serving on the editorial board of several national and international journals. His honors include a Gold Medal Award in MSc, International Best Young Researcher Award by the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescents Diabetes (ISPAD) in 2009, and National Best Young Researcher Award in Social Sciences by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in 2017.
