Islamabad, October 7, 2024 – A two-day Girls Cricket Camp, organized by the Zalmi Foundation in collaboration with Paigham-e-Pakistan, concluded successfully, showcasing the talents of young female athletes from universities across Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The event, part of an inter-university initiative, was graced by Ms. Syeda Shehla Raza, Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, and Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program, as the chief guests. The camp aimed to empower women through sports while promoting unity and peace.

The girls’ cricket team from the National Institute of Psychology, Quaid-i-Azam University, delivered an outstanding performance, earning praise from coaches and fellow participants. Demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and skill, the team left a strong impression throughout the camp.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of official Peshawar Zalmi cricket team shirts to the participants, a gesture by the Zalmi Foundation to inspire and motivate the young athletes. “Receiving the Zalmi shirts made us feel like we were part of something bigger—a professional team. It boosted our confidence and made us even more excited to pursue cricket as a passion,” shared one of the players from National Institute of Psychology, Quaid-i-Azam University.

The team members expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the camp, emphasizing how it played a significant role in developing their cricket skills, teamwork, and leadership abilities. “This camp provided us with the chance to grow not just as players but as individuals. The training and experience we gained will be invaluable as we move forward,” said another team member.
